When the Muse lands on your shoulder in the form of a crow and caws loudly in your ear, you know that you're in for a battle.

I started this image on Thursday night at around 8pm and finally had to quit at 2am because I had work in the morning. I took up the battle again last night and worked on and off for around 7hrs until I fell asleep at my keyboard. I woke up this morning, determined to finish the battle and after close to another 5 hrs of work, I'm pleased to finally be able to submit my offering.

The Phantom Queen put me through my paces, but I'm glad I stood fast and finished the battle.

Total hours: approx 18
Total renders: 20-ish test and 3 full (not including the numerous failed renders of the helmet and crow...don't ask, I can't explain it myself. Poser was just being pissy.)
Quarts of blood: I lost count, but if you're A+, I could use a couple quarts.

This really embodies The Morrigan, the War Goddess. Awesome piece. I can imagine just off screen, Her crows pecking at the flesh of those that died in battle.
